An Unmatched Leadership

The First edition of this enigmatic competition was won by Dhoni’s young brigade. No Dought, the win over arch rivals Pakistan in the final match came as a surprise, even to the die hard fans of Indian cricket. Especially, in the absence of the magical batting trio, the criketing Icon in himself- Sachin Tendulkar, the explosive and equally determined- Saurav Ganguly, and The Wall-Rahul Dravid, the task even to leave a impression in the tournament was near to impossible. But, the determined young and raw talent in the squad, the fire in their belly to succeed at international level, combined by the leadership of cool-as-a-cucumber Mahendra Singh Dhoni, made all the difference. This year round, its time for the second edition of the tournament to start. There are great expectations from the squad led by Dhoni. Since his induction to the international stage in cricket, Mr. Mahendra Sing Dhoni, has matured as an all-round-criketer. MAAHEE-as he is popularly called, has matured immensly to lead the team, no matter what-ever team has been handed over to him by national selectors. The fans in India are ever-expecting their criketing heroes to perform excellently, every time they get out in the middle, which-ever team they are facing. As a true fan of Indian Cricket, I too feel the same way. And I am longing for the tournament to kick-start.
